Beginning in the late 1840s, numerous European families from the area now known as Germany, immigrated to California, with many stopping in what are now Sonoma and Napa Counties. There were families with experience in business and agriculture, including the production of wine grapes. In fact, several well known wineries in the area still bear the names of their German founders. With this in mind, we figured, what better way to acknowledge their contributions to the early wine industry than by using the German word, Blumenkasten, translating to “Flower Box”, for our raised garden beds.

Plants bring calm serenity to our surroundings, and bounty for the table in the form of fresh basil, heirloom tomatoes, peppers, lettuces, and more. With all the processed foods out there today, the goals of eating healthier and being more sustainable, now is the best time to brighten your life, both mentally and physically, by producing your own vegetables and other greenery. Our raised garden beds, which we affectionately refer to as Veggie Beds, are designed to accent and showcase this essential feature of modern living.

While we do offer several sizes of standard Veggie Beds, as a custom builder we are able to adapt our planters to suit your specific design and space requirements.
